Reading Central is one of eleven Districts which make up SCOUTING in the
Royal County of Berkshire.
We aim to provide
exciting, stimulating and challenging activities which promote the
physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of boys and girls
between the ages of 6 to 25 years of age, to allow them to develop to
their full potential.
SCOUTING is a
non-discriminatory, multi-cultural, multi-faith organisation for young
people and operates within the policies for Safety & Security, Child
Protection and Equal Opportunities.
The District is
supported by trained leaders and adult helpers, who are provided with
training to help them to achieve their roles. ALL adults in the
District are volunteers, giving of their own time and expertise, to the
aims of the Association and it's young members.
